About me
A bit about me and my story

I'm Sam Sager and I live on a few acres of mostly woods, just outside of Providence and south of Boston, with my wife, two kids, and our dog Herb.
I'm a writer, entrepreneur, gardener, meditator, and lover of movement. Lately, I've been enjoying calisthenics, kettlebells, tennis, hiking, and really most excuses to be in motion.
After playing baseball at Tufts University, I've spent a dozen years working on projects that nurture our health while exploring somatic and spiritual practices in my own life. My passion for these pursuits is rooted in getting diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at 15 and spending the last 20 years living with a chronic illness
I've worked deep within our existing healthcare system by consulting with Fortune 500 pharmaceutical companies, implementing value-based care at large hospital systems, and scaling an integrated primary care network.
I've also founded and grown health-related businesses outside of the system, like launching an employer telemedicine product, starting a local healthy food company, and creating in-person and virtual fitness programs.
I've had some successes, many failures, and, most of all, a ton of hard-earned lessons. I believe in embracing challenge while cultivating balance, releasing attachment while welcoming accountability, and bringing authenticity while savoring connection. I view our embodied energy, loving presence, and playful creativity are greatest gifts we can give the world.
So I strive to bring them to whatever I do. I've found that you can learn as much about yourself and the world building a garden as you can building a company.
Writing is an essential part of my life. It helps me digest experiences, connect ideas, and explore possibilities. By sharing my experiences and perspectives, I hope to plant seeds and open paths for others.
I love connecting with people who are also interested in making exercise more accessible, addressing the chronic disease crisis, exploring mindbody connections, and reconnecting to the natural world. Don't hesitate to reach out via email.
